Calling schools, libraries, and community organizations! Cosmic Writers would love to work with you to bring creative writing education to the youth you serve. We offer several different types programs, all detailed below, in order to provide exactly what your students need. We can also work with you to modify these formats in order to align with your organization’s specific structure and goals. Fill out the form below if you’re interested in a partnership!
We offer these programs both in-person and virtually. Currently, our programs are available in person for partners based in Philadelphia and New York City (plus select towns in the surrounding region), as well as online for partners based anywhere in the world. The program topics can come from our existing course catalog, or we can work together to develop a new curriculum specifically for your students.
Types of Programs

Classroom Visits
A Cosmic Writers instructor visits your class and teaches a 60–90 minute workshop in a genre of your choice. We also offer “classroom visit”-style one-day workshops for libraries and community organizations.

Afterschool Workshops
A Cosmic Writers instructor comes to your organization and teaches a five-week-long workshop in a genre of your choice. The instructor visits once per week during this period, and the program culminates in a final project that your youth can share with pride.

Summer Camps
The Cosmic Writers Programs Team works with you to develop a writing camp for your organization, and one or more Cosmic Writers instructors come to your organization to teach the camp. The camp can run in half- or full days, for up to two weeks.

Field Trips
Philadelphia ONLY! Schools bring their students to the Kelly Writers House at the University of Pennsylvania, where students participate in a Cosmic-led one-day workshop based out of a community hub for writing.
